Abstract Jon Hall

*nux: From Open Source and back again
It has been twenty years since /ch/open started, and thirty-three since Unix itself started. Were these occurances by chance, or were there forces which made them inevitable? Let's look at the differences from when Unix started in 1969 to the Open Source marketplace of today, and what Open Source and Unix can offer the programmers of tommorrow.
